Salina Water Rates to Increase

Salina residents will see a modest increase on their monthly water bills beginning this month, following unanimous approval of two resolutions by the Salina City Council. One resolution increases culinary water rates by $1 per month, while the second raises pressurized irrigation (PI) rates by $2 per month. Mayor Brent Beach said the increases are necessary to address rising operational costs, particularly within the pressurized irrigation system, which he said is no longer sustaining itself. ...
