Aurora, Utah – On June 22, 2022, Elizabeth Ann Mickelsen Mason, 88 years old, peacefully passed away in Nephi, Utah, into the arms of her beloved husband, Versel J. Mason. Our Dad has been preparing a place for his dear wife for the past 30 years. Their separation has been long and our mother has missed him very much. They are now together, never again to be separated.

Mom was born to Joseph David and Myrl Sina Hansen Mickelsen on April 14, 1934 in Salina Utah. Her growing up years were spent on the family ranch in Gooseberry, and in Salina Utah. She loved riding horses through Gooseberry with her sister Norma Jean, and her brother Gerald.

She loved to embroidery and crochet.  She embroidered and crocheted on hundreds of pillow cases, dish towels and baby blankets for those she loved.

Mom worked at Mom’s Cafe in Salina while our dad served in the Korean War.

She also worked at the B&L Drive-In and thoroughly enjoyed her time there with her fun friends.

She loved rides to Fishlake, eating lunch on the shore of the lake, and then riding down through 7 Mile and Gooseberry, while enjoying an ice cream cone from Bowery Haven.

Mom was a hard worker.  She loved working in her yard, planting flowers and pulling weeds. She kept a clean and orderly home and was an immaculate house keeper.

She loved her hot chocolate and cookies every night before she went to bed.
