The North Sevier Volleyball Team slides into another week of wins and losses. On Tuesday, August 25th, the Wolves traveled up to North Sanpete to face the season-undefeated Hawks. Unfortunately for North Sevier, the North Sanpete Volleyball rein-of-terror was not yet over. The team was unable to grab a victory in any set. The set was spaced out: 11-25; the second set was just a little closer, but not close enough to secure a victory: 16-25; and the final set sent the Wolves home heartbroken: 07-25. Finishing the game 0-3, the Hawks continue to go undefeated at 8-0.
Looking up, the Wolves shook off the loss and set their minds to their next opponents, on Thursday, at home: the Wayne Badgers. The game tonight went in a complete opposite direction than the previous game. Between #4 Avery Taylor’s passes and dives as Libero, #11 Emily Henderson’s blocks as Center, #27 Claire Dahlsrud’s spikes as Middle Hitter, and #21 Zoey Rhees’ sets as Setter, the court was on fire. The Wolves were able to dominate the Badgers in every set. In the first–25-18. In the second, crushed even harder, –25-13. And finally, in the third and final set to take the victory, North Sevier won 25-17.
This week, the North Sevier Volleyball will travel to Carbon High on Tuesday to face the Dinos, and on Thursday they will compete at home against the Panguitch Bobcats at 7 pm.
