Victory against Judge Memorial

The North Sevier Wolves Football Team hosted and whomped the Judge Memorial Bulldogs at home last Friday night. The Varsity team proved strong and unwavering as they focused on dominating each quarter. With #2 Houston Mickelsen as Quarterback, nailing and completing 66% of his passing throws, the receivers became unstoppable. Tight End #11 Davis Malmgren was a leader to victory, as he collected 168 receiving yards out of the QB’s 260 passing yards, a single 95 yard run kickoff return, and 4 total touchdowns, contributing to half of the team’s scored points. #13 Cole Johnson launched and landed 6 out of 7 of his kickoff attempts, scoring the team the additional points. The defensive line held strong, keeping out nearly every play the Bulldogs threw out. #52 Conrad James, a Soph., crashed 7 solo tackles plus an additional 2 assists.

The energy on the field this evening was high and determined. The Coaches strategized each play to line up perfectly against Judge Memorial’s defense. The team also underwent a number of injuries, setting them back ever so slightly, but they were able to recover the plays quickly. Due to the North Sevier newest Athletic Trainer, not one player was injured excessively.

Pushing through to the final quarter, North Sevier had trampled Judge Memorial, hitting a final score of 48-15. Their win-loss record this season stands at 2-1, ranking them 7th in 1A Football.

This week, North Sevier will travel down to face the Enterprise Wolves on Friday, September 4th, at 7 pm.
