Skills required:
Graduation from high school or GED
And
Minimum 2 years’ experience in this field is required.
The Director will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing events, reservations, night calls. Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs at the Blackhawk Arena including facility buildings and grounds, and work in harmony with the Blackhawk Arena Committee • Operate a variety of heavy equipment • Maintain cleanliness of the Blackhawk Arena facilities. • in charge of setup and break down of events including arenas, stalls, open ride areas, auxiliary buildings, roadways, and park amenities. • an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • This position requires the ability to work flexible and extensive hours including weekends and holidays based on the event schedule. • Position often exposed to adverse weather and working conditions such as: dirty, hot, cold, wet floors, chemicals, fumes, confined areas or other uncomfortable places. • Involves walking, standing (for long periods), bending, lifting (50-75 pounds) stooping and climbing, and operating cleaning equipment and heavy machinery. • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. • Ability to work with general public and/or large groups and events. • Application Resume and at least three (3) letters of reference are required. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and live within 20 minutes of Salina City. The starting wage with a benefit package will be based on experience.
