North Sevier Wolves had two big wins over the Monticello Buckaroos at home on Tuesday, April 5 then took a hard loss to Duchesne on Friday.

              The Wolves took control of the game in the first of the double header going up 11 by the end of the third but Monticello was able to score 4 runs in the third; North Sevier continued offensively and defensively for the 18-7 victory.  Kagan Beckstead pitched for the Wolves with Slade Mickelsen and Deagan Brazell each hitting a triple and Breken Mason and Kagan Beckstead each a double.  Slade Mickelsen earned 4 RBI’s, Tayler Ramussen 3, Ryker Frischknecht 2 and Breken Mason, Tyler Foote, Deagan Brazell, Kannin Boswell, and Kagan Beckstead each 1.

              The Wolves scored 4 runs in the first, 1 in the second, 10 in the third and 2 in the fourth inning for the big 17-0 win in the second game of the double header against Monticello Tuesday afternoon.  Tayler Rasmussen pitched for North Sevier with Breken Mason and Kagan Beckstead each earning a double and Hunter Hansen a triple during the game.  Beckstead earned 4 RBIs, Mason 3, Slade Mickelsen 2 and Hunter Hansen, Deagan Brazell and Kannin Boswell each 1.

              Friday’s home game against Duchesne went much differently with the Eagles going up 12-0 to end the fourth inning.  The Wolves scored their 2 in the fifth and took the hard 12-2 loss.  Breken Mason and Tayler Rasmussen pitched for North Sevier with both Rasmussen and Tyler Foote earning RBIs for the Wolves.

              Current leading stats include Ryker Frischknecht with a .364 batting average and Hunter Hansen a .511 on base percentage with Deagan Brazell earning 2 home runs on the season and Breken Mason 16 stolen bases.

              The Wolves are scheduled to play a double header against North Summit on Tuesday, April 12 at home then will host San Juan on Tuesday, April 19.
