North Sevier basketball traveled to Piute Friday, December 17 to play the 7-0 Thunderbirds and came away with a 43-52 loss.
The Wolves were down 8-12 at the end of the first but battled hard to end the half at 26-26. The third quarter ended in North Sevier’s favor by one point, 36-35, but couldn’t connect with the basket in the fourth quarter losing 43-52.
Senior Keaton Rosquist was the high scorer for North Sevier with 15 points including three 3-pointers, Ethan Fielding added 14, Ryker Frischknecht 8 and both Tate Goble and Greyson Bennett a 3-pointer.
“It was a tough loss,” said Coach Dakota Shepherd. “We saw some good things from the boys. However, we need to take better care of the ball and make sure to execute all four quarters of the game. It was a good learning experience that we will grow from. We have a tough schedule this year and have to come ready to play every single night. We will be in Parowan on Tuesday and are looking for a win.”
Following Tuesday’s game the Wolves are off for the Christmas break until the Kanab Tournament on December 29-30.
