Gary Bishoff Retires from Sevier Valley Hospital After 29 Years

Congratulations to Gary Bishoff, pharmacist, on his retirement from Sevier Valley Hospital! Gary was hired in 1992 as the hospital’s inpatient pharmacy director. Prior to being hired, Gary worked as an assistant pharmacist at Skyline Pharmacy in Mt. Pleasant. He was excited to be hired at the hospital and live in the Sevier Valley.

Gary attended both Brigham Young University and the University of Utah, where he earned his Pharm.D. and completed a pharmaceutical internship at the University of Utah Hospital. He was raised in the Salt Lake Valley. Gary and wife Tania raised their six children here in the Sevier Valley and have been blessed with 15 grandchildren.

Gary managed the inpatient pharmacy at Sevier Valley Hospital from 1992 until 2015, when he began working as a rotating staff pharmacist in the outpatient (retail) pharmacies at Sevier Valley Hospital and North Sevier Clinic, and in the inpatient pharmacy at the hospital.

For over 29 years, Gary has brightened patients’ and fellow caregivers’ days with his big smile, infectious positivity, and knowledgeability.

“Gary exemplifies all the great qualities you could want in a pharmacist,” says Sevier Valley Hospital Administrator Brent Schmidt. “He’s knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. In addition to being a great pharmacist, he is a great cook. Anyone at the hospital can tell you he makes the best pies and pancakes! We will miss Gary and wish him all the best in retirement!”

Sevier Valley Hospital thanks Gary for his incomparable care and congratulates him on 29-plus years well spent!
