North Sevier softball had some tough competition this past week with a double header loss against Duchesne and a loss against South Sevier.

In their first game of the week the Eagles killed North Sevier 19-0 in the first game and the second 17-2.   Against South Sevier the Lady Wolves took the 22-2 loss.

Positives for the Lady Wolves include: sophomore Paisley Roberts went 4 for 7 hitting this week, Swayzee Mason hit her first home run, Syd Henrie robbed a home run over the fence and Laynee Nielsen threw out four stealing!

“We had some tough competition this week, and we showed improvement on the week before,” said Coach Makaela Bills. “We put up a tough fight against South Sevier for 6 innings. Our bats were there but we couldn’t find holes. It was also exciting to see our younger girls get some games in and see the improvements and energy they bring. This week we are going to continue working on tightening up or defense and being able to field routine outs, build upon our hitting with the success we had last week, and keep strengthening our pitching staff. This week we have Piute, who have improved from last year. We are going to work hard and prepare to come away with two wins.”

The Lady Wolves host Piute on Tuesday then will travel to T-bird territory on Thursday.  They get a week off from games for Spring break and host the Gunnison Bulldogs on April 19.
