St. Patrick’s Soccer Luck Works Both Ways!

Thursday March 17 found the Millard Eagles on the North Sevier soccer field as both teams sought for a little luck of the Irish in this St. Patrick’s Day battle. The game started at 5:00 PM, an hour later than usual, at Millard’s request since they have no JV team to play. And they did find some Irish luck with their first goal 13 minutes into the game followed by another one 4 minutes later.  Eleven minutes played before Irish luck shone down on North Seiver as Junior Randy Elmer shot a straight one through and into the goal. But Millard’s luck held as well as 3 minutes later they sent another goal into the nets. Luck granted North Sevier another goal from Senior Keaton Peterson 3 minutes later and then luck disappeared from both teams for another 12 minutes leaving a tight half time score of Millard 3, North Sevier 2.

Millard was granted just one more lucky goal one minute into the second half and then the teams battled back and forth, but the lucky streak was gone for both teams for neither could get a shot on frame for the rest of the game which ended in a 4 to 2 loss for North Sevier.

The year’s season seems to be crowding up on games: Tuesday March 22 the Wolves will play at Diamond Ranch, Thursday March 24 at South Sevier,  Friday March 25 at Richfield, Monday March 28 at Juab, Tuesday March 29 at Beaver, Thursday March 31 San Juan at North Sevier  (finally a home game to come and watch) and then Friday April 1 (No April Fooliing either) in Emery.
