North Sevier Wolves held their home meet Wednesday, September 6 in Redmond and Coach Smith said, “We defended our home territory by putting up great times and placements! It is not an easy course, and the heat didn’t help but we are so proud of all our athletes for showing up ready to run and finishing strong!” The phenomenal boys’ team earned the first-place team trophy, and the girls took second. Cruze Hallows won the race with a time of 17:27. He was followed by Emmitt Nelson(2nd), Cynch Wanlass(6th), Kade Johnson(7th), and Braxton MacArt(9th).
For the girls, Karla McCoy came in 3rd followed by Zoey Rhees(8th), Sydney Bosh(9th), and Brooklin Goble(10th).
“Congrats to Sydney Bosh on setting a new PR! She has been killing it this year, cutting a ton of time from last year’s races,” said Smith.
The Coaches also expressed special thanks to all the parents and community members who showed up to help and cheer the team on. We are so grateful for the support!
This was also the last home meet for the ten seniors on the team, Karla McCoy, Sydney Bosh, Brooklyn Goble, Ciarra Anderson, Tucker Wasen, Braygen Maxwell, Greyson Bennett, Jacob Johnson, Braxton MacArt, and Kamden Saling.
There was also a junior high race where North Sevier athletes took the top 5 spots in both the girls and the boys race! Good job to all our junior high runners!
