|At their regularly scheduled meeting held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the Salina City councilmen agreed to offer free dog licenses until the end of February, with proof of rabies vaccine. This will be the second year Salina is not charging a fee for licensing, and Kathy Maxwell, Treasurer, reported that last year 50-60 more dogs were licensed than the previous year when a fee applied, and many of them were tagged earlier than normal.
