Outdoor Fitness Grant Proposed; Council Tables Decision for Further Review

Salina Mayor Brent Beach proposed a new addition to the Recreation Center park during the city’s regularly scheduled council meeting held Wednesday, February 11. Beach reported that The National Fitness Program has offered a $35,000 grant toward the installation of an outdoor fitness system. Redmond Town appointed Levi Noyes to serve as a councilmember during its regularly scheduled meeting held Wednesday, February 11. The appointment fills the vacancy created when newly elected Mayor Lyman Anderson moved from his council seat into the mayor’s office, leaving two years remaining on his council term.
