Tom and Jan Hales celebrated their 50th anniversary Saturday, August 24, 2024. The couple met at North Sevier High School when Jan moved to Salina. They began dating shortly after and were married in 1974. They built a life in Redmond with both working for Hales Sand and Gravel while they raised their family. They have two children, Audrey (Spencer), Redmond, and Adam Hales (Shanna) Willard, UT, and seven grandchildren are McKenzie, Kaitlyn and Jacob Brown, and Alexis, Maycee, Taytum, and Trent Hales. They love traveling the state to support their grandchildren in all their activities. Tom served as a member of the Sevier School District Board of Education for over 25 years. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling the world, and disappearing for weekends at “the Cabin”.
