Twenty-six members of the NSHS Track and Field team participated in the Grizzly Invitational Saturday, April 16 and Coach Eric Mason said even though it was cold and at a higher elevation, the athletes competed well.
He said new Personal Records were set by Blaine Anderson in Discus 122-02″ and 12.44 in 100M, Paige Mason in shot put 24’8″, Keaton Rosquist in long jump 17′ 2″, Brooklin Goble in the 3200M at 14:32.04, Jesse Aitken 100M at 12.65, Dean Anderson in Discus 81-2.50″, Grayson Bennett in the 100M at 11.98, Maureen Bloemerts in the 200M at 35.16, Rebeka Christensen in the 100M at 15.76, Ethan Fielding in the 100M at 12.20, Jara Marsh in the 300M Hurdles at 1:01.87, Brittania Summerall in the 200M at 37.18, Cale Torgerson in High Jump at 5-02″, and Cauy Williams in Shot put at 40′-6.50″
“It was a good meet to go to against really tough competition from higher Utah schools, Idaho, and Wyoming,” said Mason. “I am extremely proud of these kids. We have a really busy week and hope to see some great results! We have a quick turnaround as we will be taking 37 athletes to Duchesne this Tuesday, then we host the North Sevier Invitational on Saturday, April 23. There are currently 11 teams signed up and it should be a great meet.”
