On Monday, September 8, 2025, both the Salina and Aurora Fire Departments responded to a trailer fire at the Salina trailer park. According to Salina Police Chief Al Taylor, no one was living in the home at the time of the incident, as it was undergoing renovations.
Chief Taylor explained that the fire was accidentally ignited while work was being done on the plumbing. During the process of sweating pipes with a torch, some solder apparently fell into the insulation, sparking the blaze. After investigating, the fire marshal confirmed the cause was accidental.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the trailer was declared a total loss.
