The children of Jim and Bonnie Erdei happily announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Jim and Bonnie were married on June 16, 1972 in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with 3 children, Amber (Jeremy) Baker, Chandler (Ashley) Erdei, and Starli (Joby) Mickelsen and 8 grandchildren, Allessandra, Annabelle and Amelia Baker, Breagan and Bristol Erdei and Braxton, Slade and Mia Mickelsen.
Jim and Bonnie met at Southern Utah State College (now SUU) in 1970. Bonnie asked him to her Sorority formal. They fell in love and were married a year later. Jim graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and Bonnie Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. They worked in Salt Lake as Teachers for a year, before moving to Salina to start their family. Jim managed Barrett’s Foodtown alongside his Father in Law, Keith Barrett. He loved the people he worked with and met working in the grocery business. Bonnie and Jim worked in the Manti Temple for 2 years before they adopted their first daughter, Amber. They loved being parents and were ecstatic to add Chandler and Starli to their family in coming years. They take great joy in their family and especially love being grandparents. They loved traveling with their family and spending time with their grandchildren.
Though they have had health challenges throughout the years, they have loved and supported one another through the difficult times as well as the good.
In lieu of a celebration or gifts, please spend time with those you love.
