North Sevier cross-country traveled to Gunnison for the first region meet of the season.
“Our team performed really well considering we were running against the top 2A first and second place boys and girls teams at state last year,” said Coach Char Smith.
Boys team came away with third place with Tate Goble placing sixth overall with the time of 18.58, Ayden Crane 12th 19.56, Greyson Bennett 13th with 20 minutes, Caden Johnson 17th 20.26, and Jacob Johnson 19th 20.13 Team points were Millard 27 N. Summit 50 N. Sevier 65.
Girls team also came away with third place just behind North Summit 35 points, Millard 47 points and North Sevier Wolves 53 points. Karla McCoy led the girls team placing fifth with 20.49, Avery Smith 9th at 23.30, Brooklin Goble 10th 23.39, Ciarra Anderson 12th 24.12, and Sydney Bosh 18th, with the time of 26.47. North Sevier will host a cross country meet this Thursday, September 9 Junior High at 4:30 and High School at 5:00 in Redmond. Then they will travel to BYU Saturday Sept 11.
