Boyd Ardell Lambertsen

Boyd Ardell Lambertsen, also known as Lambie to close friends and family, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, in his brother’s family home in Las Vegas, NV. He was born October 29,1949 in Salina, Utah, to Otto Ardell and Shirley (Humphrey) Lambertsen. He was a 1967 graduate of North Sevier High School.  

Boyd served active duty in the Marine Corps from July 24, 1967 to July 25, 1971. He was a Vietnam veteran in which he earned the Bronze Star for his bravery in combat and was a Purple Heart recipient. He started his career with the U.S. Postal Service, he exhibited great leadership skills and integrity. Over the years he worked his way up to Post Master, retiring in 2007.   

During his years of service in the post office, he met his wife Lynn Marie Villanueva. They married May 23, 1993 and lived in Valley Springs, California. Here they enjoyed gardening, raising small farm animals, and supporting the local wildlife. Lambie and Lynn lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of raising two of their beautiful granddaughters. In his final years, Lambie enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing on the mountain, and attending NASCAR races with friends and family.  

Boyd was preceded in death by his wife Lynn; his parents, Shirley and Ardell; his brother, Jack: his sister, Karen. He is survived by his son, Gary (Maren); daughter, Trish; grandchildren, Destiny, Tia, Isaiah, Elijah, and Kellen: great grandchildren Willy and Milly: his former wife, Marsha; a sister, Rose Marie (Don); a sister, Ginger (Bill); a sister, Doris; a brother Brad (Toni): a brother Troy (Diana) and multiple nieces and nephews.  

Family, friends, and others whose lives Boyd, “Lambie” touched are invited to the Veterans Memorial Park, 90 S. State St, Salina, UT, at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 19, 2025 for a veterans service and to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. His final internment will be held at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Rd, Manteca, CA, at 11am on Friday, August 22, 2025.
