Lions Club Celebrates Standout Entries in Salina’s Independence Day Parade

Salina’s annual Independence Day Parade, hosted by the Salina Lions Club, brought color, community spirit, and creativity to Main Street as residents gathered to celebrate the holiday. From classic cars and marching bands to floats full of hometown pride, this year’s parade was a memorable highlight of the city’s Fourth of July festivities.

Lions Club President Carol Lowman expressed her appreciation for everyone who helped make the event a success, especially those who took the time to create and enter floats.

“I was absolutely delighted with the parade,” said Lowman. “It was fun for the Lions to recognize these three parade entries and give them prizes, but we want to express our appreciation to everyone who participated. We loved the creativity of the UIB/Jr. Miss North Sevier float, which paid homage to Salina’s Balloon Festival. Redmond’s entry remembered their town history and promoted its future, while the students of FFA honored our agricultural roots and the continued influence of farming in our lives. Each was special in its own way.”

Parade winners included:

  • First Place: Utah Independent Bank and the Junior Miss North Sevier Royalty
  • Second Place: Redmond Town
  • Third Place: North Sevier FFA Club

The Lions Club thanked all the participants, volunteers, and spectators who helped make the celebration joyful and memorable. With patriotism on display and community pride shining through every float and performance, the 2025 Independence Day Parade was a true reflection of small-town spirit.
