North Sevier Wolves basketball had a great bounce-back win Friday night as they hosted the Wayne Badgers, beating them 4-32.
The first quarter started off with slow scoring for both teams, ending 4-4, but the Wolves put down 16 points in the second to lead 20-11 at the half with the final score 40-32.
“It was a great bounce back win,” said Coach Dakota Shepherd. “I liked our defensive intensity. We weren’t very effective on the offensive end, but the kids stuck together and won a good game. As a whole we aren’t shooting the ball very well and we know going into region play games are going to be won on the defensive end. We gotta keep playing team Defense and the offense will work itself out. We have too many good shooters and the ball is going to fall. We have to stick with it, trust each other and play with confidence.”
Ethan Fielding led in scoring with 13, Junior Keaton Hallows 10, Tate Goble 7, Keaton Rosquist 6 and Sophomore Greyson Bennett 4.
This week the team is on the road heading to Millard on Wednesday and North Summit on Friday.
