North Sevier’s volleyball team won Tuesday’s home game against Duchesne but lost to Piute on the road Thursday.
In Tuesday’s match the Lady Wolves won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-19 but the Eagles took the third 27-25. North Sevier battled back for the 25-23 set and the 3-1 overall win.
The Piute Thunderbirds topped the visiting North Sevier Lady Wolves by a score of 3-1 in Thursday’s non-league test.
“Our region is super tough again this year and so each win is so important, including individual set wins,” said Coach Sloane Robinson. “With the way the RPI system is, every point matters, even in a loss. We just all played really well against Duchesne, and we are hoping to carry that over to our big region games this week. Gunnison and North Summit are some of the top teams in 2A so we can see how we match up compared to them. We are really going to work on serving and staying aggressive on the net.”
North Sevier hosts the Bulldogs Tuesday, September 28 and travels to North Summit on Thursday, September 30.
