Stake Conference

The Salina Utah Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold stake conference this weekend, following this schedule: Stake Leadership Meeting Saturday, January 25, 4:00-5:30 pm.  Participants include all Stake and Ward Relief Society, Young Women, Primary, and Sunday School presidencies and secretaries. Teachers, advisors, high councilors, and bishopric members assigned to these organizations are also invited to attend.    Saturday Evening Sessions for Adults. Saturday, January 25, 7:00-8:45 pm.   Participants include anyone 18 years and older.       Sunday Session for Youth.  Sunday, January 26, 8:00-9:00 am.

Participants include all Stake Young Men and Young Women (ages 11-18).  Stake & Ward Young Men and Young Women leaders. 

              Sunday General Session. Sunday, January 26, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.   Participants include all Stake members and friends of other faiths. 

              Presiding at the conference will be Elder Ulysse G. McCann II, who was called as an Area Seventy and a member of the Twelfth Quorum of the Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the April 2023 general conference.

He received his medical degree from The University of Texas and works as a cardio-thoracic surgeon for Intermountain Health.

Elder McCann has served in a number of church callings, including full-time missionary in the Washington Spokane mission. He is also a former bishop, high councilor, and stake president.

He is married to Mary Alice Holland, and they are the parents of five children and have five grandchildren. Elder and Sister McCann reside in Orem, Utah.
