Residents across Sevier County will have the opportunity to participate in grassroots political organizing when the Sevier County Republican Party holds its precinct caucus meetings on March 17 at 7:00 p.m. Meetings will take place at various locations throughout the county. Caucus night marks the beginning of the party’s local democratic process. During the meetings, neighbors gather within their voting precincts to discuss issues affecting their communities and to elect delegates who will represent their neighborhoods at upcoming county and state conventions.
Those delegates play an important role in shaping the party’s direction by helping select party leadership and Republican candidates for public office, making the caucus a key step in Utah’s political process.
Several local meeting locations have already been announced. In Redmond, the caucus will be held at the Redmond Town Hall. In Aurora, participants will meet at the Aurora City Building. Salina Precinct 2114 will meet at the North Sevier Recreation Center, while Salina Precinct 2115 will meet at Utah Independent Bank. Salina Precinct 2125 will meet at Salina City Hall.
Registered Republican voters who plan to attend are encouraged to pre-register online at reg.utgop.org. Voters may also register in person at their caucus location by arriving early and bringing a valid form of identification.
Additional information about caucus locations and the process is available at seviercountyutahrepublicanparty.org and precinctportal.org.
