North Sevier Wolves football team won their final game of the regular season against the Gunnison Bulldogs at home Friday night with a score of 41-8.
The Wolves dominated from the beginning with Nathan Snyder scoring for North Sevier twice in the first quarter, and Cauy Williams earned the Wolves third TD to end the half up 20-0. Kannin Boswell scored 2 touchdowns within a minute of each other, the first a 2-yard run and the second a 43-yard fumble recovery), in the third, with the Wolves’ defense holding the Bulldogs scoreless. Early in the fourth Gunnison earned points, but North Sevier finished the game strong with a final TD on an 8-yard run by James Crowley to end the night victorious.
It was also senior night, and Coach Wyatt Mason had nothing but praise for the seniors this year. He said, “Our 11 seniors this year are Nathan Snyder (Captain), Cauy Williams (Captain), Ryker Frischknecht (Captain), Breken Mason, Deagan Brazell, Guy Huntsman, Slade Mickelsen, Keaton Peterson, Drexton Olsen, Blaise Lund, and Avery Pettit. I just want to say how grateful I am to have got to know all these seniors over the past few years. I want to thank them for all their hard work and dedication they have shown to our program. They definitely have left our program way better than how they found it! I hope they have enjoyed this season as much as I have and that it is something they can cherish and remember for the rest of their lives as a positive and happy memory. I’m nothing but proud of all of them and wish them all the very best going forward in the future. They will always be part of our North Sevier football family!”
