Rec Baseball Teams head to State

The North Sevier Wolves 12U 5th & 6th grade baseball team has had a great year. Starting off the season we had our work cut out for us. Just like a new team every year, having boys on the team that haven’t played together before always creates a bit of a challenge. Quickly the boys learned to work together as a team rather than individually. Each player on our team brings his own skill set that contributes to make this awesome team.

Our record for this regular season is 10-4, which awarded us 3rd place in our division. The team is headed to State in Lehi, on July 12th, 13th and 14th. We are excited to watch these boys play and continue to grow in this sport.

Our team this year consists of 15 boys: Benson Martin, Carter Gates, Gunnar Baker, Hunter Baker, Case Ekker, Kesler Wanlass, Houston Mickelsen, Tate Torgerson, Easton St. Pierre, Wyatt Fullmer, Jaxson Beach, Tanner Thurston, Wyatt Bosshardt, Pierce Mickelson, Xander Johnson and 2 Coaches: Dave Torgerson and Brady Baker.

The North Sevier Bombers are the NS Rec 8U (3rd & 4th grade) baseball team.

The Bombers started off the season in rough shape with a 3 loss streak, but then they were able to pull it together and turn things around. Finishing the season 7-4, only losing 1 more game the rest of the season.

The Bombers are coached by Robby Shaw and Paul Mecham, and consists of 12 players. The players consist of Pacen Shaw, Paul Mecham II, KC Harwood, Jacob Prisbrey, Ledger Maxwell, Krue Lewis, River Lewis, Jake Delgado, Jesse Heiselt, John Hunter, Stetson Losee, and Stratton Hallows.

For the tournament the Bombers picked up Brooks Rhees from the NS Smokeys.

This team has put in a lot of hard work, holding practice 3 days a week and having games 2 nights a week. The team has had a lot of fun and looks forward to competing in the tournament.
