Miss North Sevier, Halee Mason, took the time to give back to her community Friday, January 14 as she visited Salina Elementary and read one of her favorite picture books to the whole school. She also shared a brief message that relates to the book she read, which was that sometimes very small and simple acts of kindness can make major impacts and can affect lots of people! After sharing her book and her message she then surprised the school by donating 1,000 dollars, which she teamed up with Dr. Rich Yardley from Richfield to raise, to help support Salina Elementary in their efforts to boost reading with their students in grades K through 5. Salina Elementary is extremely grateful for this generous act and want to specifically thank both Halee and Dr. Yardley for all they have contributed to their school!
