Miss Mary’s Museum Opens for Summer, Adds New Expansion

Miss Mary’s Museum, located at 204 S. 100 E. in Salina, is now open for the summer season and welcomes visitors to explore its growing collection. Upgrades and expansions are actively underway to enhance the museum experience. This past week, Brent Beach and Allen Tietjen worked to dig trenches for new electrical lines to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers (DUP) building recently relocated to the museum grounds. Earl Taylor will complete the installation of the electrical system in the coming days.

“The DUP building, which was previously located on 2nd East here in Salina, has now been moved onto our property,” said Sylvia Barney of Miss Mary’s Museum. “We’re grateful to everyone helping get the electrical work ready. We plan to expand our collection into this building.”

Barney noted that new displays will include artifacts and historical exhibits related to the Old Spanish Trail and its influence on the area, as well as memorabilia on loan from Fremont Indian State Park.

The museum is open for walk-in visitors Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For private tours, phone numbers are posted on the museum’s front doors.
