New to the museum this year is the DUP Blackhawk War Monument, which was moved from the south end of State Street to its new home on the grounds of the museum. The little DUP House to the west of the main building is still a work in progress, and will be open in the near future as an extension of the museum.

We’d like to express heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Hurd and his dedicated high school students who worked tirelessly last week to beautify the grounds and complete some greatly needed projects outdoors.

Through the efforts of many community members through the years, Miss Mary’s Museum has certainly become a showplace in Salina.  If you haven’t visited yet, we invite you to stop by, step back in time, and enjoy a taste of your history and heritage.  We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what this little museum has to offer.
