Members of Salina American Legion Post 36 completed a service project Saturday, building a new access ramp for a local veteran battling cancer. After an initial ramp donated by the Kim Gates family proved unsuitable, the family and the Legion worked together to supply materials. With additional help from Matt Torgerson and Terry Torgerson, volunteers constructed a new ramp to provide safer, easier access to the home.
