Lady Wolves begin Region

Two close losses for the Lady Wolves began their region play as they traveled to Millard on Tuesday, January 11 and North Summit on Thursday, January 13.

              Against the Eagles on Tuesday the first quarter was evenly matched in scoring 15-15 and the close game continued, leaving the half time score 32-26 for the Eagles, and Millard took the victory 55-44.

              Junior Alli Mason led the team in scoring with 13, Brooklyn Butler added 8, Gracee Johnson 7, both Cale and Trey Torgerson 6 and Avery Smith 4.

              In Coleville Thursday night the game looked to be headed in North Summit’s favor at the half with the Braves winning 28-17.  A big second half surge by the Lady Wolves put the game in reach though the Braves came out on top by two, 49-47.

              Junior Brooklyn Butler led the team in scoring with 13, Senior Avery Smith had 10, Sydnie Henry 4, Cale Torgerson and Gracee Johnson each 4, Trey Torgerson and Kamryn Pierce each 4, and Alli Mason and Brooklin Goble each 2.

              This week the team travels to Gunnison on Tuesday, January 18 then hosts North Summit on January 25.
