Against Manti last week, both teams scored evenly in the first quarter with North Sevier up 15-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Templars held the Wolves to just 4 points in the second quarter and took control of the game, winning 45-36.
“We finished the preseason 5-6,” said Coach Lexa Larsen. “We played some good competition, and we are slowly improving. We’ve been up and down, but we are getting there. Our region is looking really tough with 3 of the top 6 teams (RPI), so we have our work cut out for us. We are looking forward to a week of practice to fine tune some things and prepare for battle. We start region with 3 road games and don’t play at home again until Jan 25. We’re looking forward to the second half of the season and we expect to make it to the state tournament this year.”
Upcoming games for the Lady Wolves include a road trip to Millard on January 11 and to Gunnison on the 18th.
