Fire Prevention

October is fire prevention and safety month, and members of the Salina Fire Department made a presentation to Salina Elementary School students Thursday, October 19.  Students viewed an informational video, and fifth graders were treated to additional training on seatbelt safety.  The Salina Fire Department currently consists of 23 members with Matt Murphree as Chief, Bradley Rasmussen as Assistant Chief, and Jeff Willden Secretary.   “We are grateful to the fire department members who took time out of their busy schedules to help us educate our students,” said Salina Elementary Principal Kole Krahenbuhl. “Having guests come and present real life situations really enhances what we do here and it has been fun having them here.”
