Ella Lee Mickelsen Lund
1931 – 2022
Redmond, Utah – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, Ella Lee Mickelsen Lund, passed away September 6, 2022, peacefully at home.
Ella Lee was born the only child to Mar and Leona Mickelsen on Jan 9, 1931. She grew up in Redmond and graduated from North Sevier High School in 1949 where she played in the band was involved in the student council. She married the love of her life, Robert Jay Lund, on June 6, 1950, in the Manti LDS Temple. They spent. 64 wonderful years together.
Ella Lee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many positions. She served 12 years as an ordinance worker at the Manti LDS Temple. She was a talented piano and organ player. She shared her talent with many by teaching piano and played for hundreds of funerals. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she lit up every time a grandkid came to visit.
Ella Lee is survived by her two children: Craig and Debbie Lund; Marci and Lyman Anderson, all of Redmond. 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in the Redmond LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday September 13 from 6-8 P.M. and from 10-11:30 A.M. prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
