The NSHS Debate team participated in region competition on February 15, 2024 at DaVinci Academy and came away as region winners! State was held March 15-16 at USU Eastern in Price where the team took 3rd place! “It was a really intense competition,” said Advisor Tarah Johnson. “Raiden Johnson is a state champion in Impromptu. Brittania Summarell took second in Interps with her Dramatic Interpretation. Caden Johnson took 3rd in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Gracey Lambertsen took 3rd in Original Oratory.” Members of the team are: Will Chaston, Rebekah Christensen, Keyara Curtis, Tierra Easterday, Tianna Easterday, Gracey Lambertsen, Kade Johnson, Koy Wasden, Raiden Johnson, Caden Johnson, Cole Johnson, Haygen Munk, Emmitt Nelson, Lucia Pomar Sarroca, Kamden Saling, and Brittania Summarell.
