The North Sevier Cross Country team raced at the UHSAA Divisionals at Lakeside Park in Orem on Tuesday, October 14th. The course consisted of two laps on an all-grass surface. In the Men’s 5,000 Meters 2A Boys Section B, North Sevier as a team placed 1st with 50 points, taking the victory over 2nd place by just one point. Individually, Cruze Hallows finished 1st at 16:41. Lincoln Hallows came in soon after at 17:29 in 5th place. Jade Goble was the next to come in at a time of 18:09 and in 12th place. The next runner in was Kade Johnson at 18:25. Drew Johnson and Cole Johnson followed him with Drew at 18:45 and Cole at 19:02. Emmitt Nelson finished next at 19:37. The alternates who were next in line to race were Cynch Wanlass, Kale Hallows, and Tate Torgerson.
In the Women’s 5,000 Meters 2A Girls Section B, North Sevier as a team placed 3rd with 79 points. Individually, Khloe Rosquist ran a 22:02, placing herself 12th. Linzy Perfect, Hannah Johnson, and Zoey Rhees came in the next three places after her: Linzy at 22:33, Hannah at 23:06, and Zoey at 23:08. McCall Osmond was the next to come in at 25:57. Ellee Johnson and Hydsyn Higgs came in close together, with Ellee at a time of 29:09 and Hudsyn at 29:19. The alternates who were next in line to race were Milee Johnson and Taylanee Aitken.
Next week on Tuesday, October 28th, both the boys and girls teams will race at SugarHouse Park to compete in 2A State Cross Country.
