North Sevier cross country hosted their home meet this past Thursday with the boys’ team coming in third and the girls’ second.
“Our kids ran really well because they had great community and school support at our race,” said Coach Char Smith. “Some of the best we’ve ever had.”
Keaton Hallows and Tate Goble came in top ten, with Greyson Bennett 11th. For the girls, Karla McCoy, Avery Smith, Ciarra Anderson, and Brooklin Goble were top 10.
The NSMS cross country team hosted a meet that same afternoon with over 40 runners participating. Emmitt Nelson placing first for the boys’ team and Boston Mason coming in first for the girls’ team.
Saturday runners participated in the BYU Autumn Classic held at the Timpanogos Golf Course in Provo.
“It was a great course and our runners had good times,” said Smith. “Jacob Johnson was one of our top runners in the men’s JV race and Karla McCoy finished top 20 in her race of over 200 runners.”
This week the team travels to Duchesne on Wednesday and will participate in the Sanpete Classic the following Wednesday.
