“We couldn’t have asked for better weather! It was a beautiful evening on Friday! The cruise Main and Mini Show was a lot of fun,” said Paula Martin, event coordinator.
Saturday’s events at the Salina City Park were well attended and the rain held off until after the show.
“Saturday was just perfect for a car show! A nice cool breeze coming from the canyon, not too hot, LOTS of super nice cars to look at, and fun was had by all! We wrapped up the awards at 3:00, and at 3:45 it started to rain! We were so grateful it waited for the car show to be over!
Another successful Blast from the Past Car Show! Thank you to the volunteer committee who made it happen,” said Martin.
48 Sponsor and Committee awards were given out and can be found on the website at blastfromthepastcarshow.com but the top three winners include. Top Three Winners are Mike Bradley of Mayfield with his 1956 Buick Special, Diana Compton of Fairview with her 1957 Ford Thunderbird, Jack Marv Slater of American Fork with his 1950 F-100 Pickup.
A fun addition to the car show is the traditional Pin Up Contest and this year nineteen ladies participated. Winners are 2nd Runner Up, Becky Hunt of Salina, Miss Blast from the Past, Jennifer Ross of Monroe, and 1st Runner Up, Bree Dudley of Salina,
Thanks to all the businesses and individuals for their sponsorship and support and A huge thank you to Salina City for all they do to help make the show a success!” said Martin.
