North Sevier basketball participated in the Kanab Tournament over the holiday break and lost to both Kanab and Piute.
Against the Cowboys North Sevier trailed most of the game, losing 39-46. Senior Tate Goble was the leading scorer with 14 points, Greyson Bennett scored 8, Ethan Fielding 6, Ryker Frischknecht and Kyson Bosshardt each 4 and Keaton Rosquist 3.
In the tournament’s consolation rematch against Piute, the Wolves got down early in the game, losing 24-6 at the end of the first quarter and couldn’t come back, losing 73-29. Kyson Bosshardt was the high scorer for North Sevier with 14, Sophomore Warner Roberts contributed two big 3-pointers and Tate Goble, Ethan Fielding and Greyson Bennett each scored 6. Ryker Frischknecht added one.
Upcoming games for the Wolves include a home game Friday, January 7 against Wayne then they head to Millard on the 12th and North Summit on January 14.
