Gunnison and Beaver

Nothing came easy for the North Sevier Wolves during the cold game last Tuesday in Gunnison as they fell 17-2 to the Bulldogs. Allie Cowley pitched for the Wolves for two innings, allowing 7 hits and striking out 1.  Abby Johnson finished the innings in relief. Jacey Crane and Senior McKylee Malmgren got the only hits off of Gunnison’s pitcher.  This finished the region games for the Wolves.

Thursday the Lady Wolves traveled to Beaver for the final away game of the season.   North Sevier’s effort to come back from down four runs in the 2nd inning came up just short, as they fell 9-8. The Wolves put up three runs in the 5th inning. It was a tight game until the Beavers singled in the sixth inning, and the Wolves couldn’t answer back in the top of the 7th.   Their batters contributed big with Sophomores Kamryn Pierce, Sydnie Henrie, and freshman Kaylee Paige leading the team with 2 hits each. Abby Johnson pitched for the Wolves lasting 3 innings, striking out 3 and walking zero.  Allie Cowley finished the game striking out 2. North Sevier collected 10 hits on the day

Last home game was Monday May 3 against Parowan.  Saturday May 8th the Wolves will have a play in game for the state Tournament. Place and time TBA.
