SOCIEYT OBIT Williams

SueAnn Williams

SueAnn Williams 1958 – 2023 Salina, Utah – Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, SueAnn Jensen Williams, age 64, passed away July 4, 2023, of complications from pancreatic cancer.  She was born September 29, 1958, in Gunnison, a daughter of Rulon Dale and Carolyn June Nicholson Jensen. SueAnn was a very independent person and left home at a very young age. She was no stranger to hard work and had many jobs to make ends meet. She enjoyed working for the Shaheen family at their many businesses, cooking, waiting tables and cleaning rooms.

On October 7, 1976, she welcomed her daughter, Tressa June Jensen into the world.  Seven years later, on April 13, 1983, she welcomed her son Dell Robert Humphrey.

Later in life she moved her family to Scofield, Utah, where she went to work at Skyline Coalmine as an underground coal miner.  She quickly earned the respect of the other miners because of her hard work ethic.  A few years later she moved her family back to the Sevier County area and then on to Kanab, Utah for three years when she finally decided to plant her roots back in Salina.

SueAnn married the love of her life, Kay Lynn Williams on June 13, 2009, in Salina, Utah.  They spent their time together doing what they loved most, hunting, fishing, horn hunting, four-wheeler riding and just being outdoors.  They also worked many years side by side doing electrical work at Williams Electrical.

SueAnn loved serving others and did just that while working at Sevier County Jail, Ashman and Pahvant Elementary Schools and Stonehenge, all in Richfield, where she cooked many delicious meals for the people she loved and cared for.  In February of 2015 while at Stonehenge she received the Richfield Area Chamber of Commerce “Business Matters” Customer Service Superstar Award in appreciation for excellent customer service.  Her final job was working for Burns Saddlery in Salina, where she learned the art of making boots.  She was very passionate about this job, and it broke her heart when she had to leave due to health concerns.

In November of 2022 she was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.  She fought a short hard battle with strength and courage.

You always knew where you stood with SueAnn.  She never beat around the bush and was never afraid to speak her mind.  When she loved, she loved hard, and you always knew she was there for you.

SueAnn loved her family and took advantage of every opportunity to be with them and support them in everything they did.  She was her grandkids and great-grandkids biggest fan in everything they did.  She loved sitting on her front porch with Papa Kay just enjoying the sunshine and admiring their beautiful yard.  She had a green thumb and could make anything grow or bring it back to life.  She especially loved her many rose bushes.

We would like to thank Vicki Gurney with At Home Health Care and Hospice for the amazing care she gave Mom.

SueAnn is survived by her beloved husband, Kay Lynn of Salina; children: Tressa (Travis) Clark of Kanab; Dell Humphrey of Medford, Oregon; stepchildren: Shaun (Brenda) Williams of Fernley, Nevada; Barbara Williams of Salina; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Debra (Mel) Yardley of Aurora; Tammy (Gary) Harrison of Salina; Cindy Johnson of Mattoon, Illinois.
