Roberta Singleton Draper
1941 – 2021
Salina, Utah- Roberta Singleton Draper passed away peacefully June 20, 2021 at the age of 80. Roberta was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Roberta was born April 3, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Lavelle Singleton and Helen Ann Moffett. She grew up in Magna, Utah with her sister Patricia Ann Singleton Davies. She graduated from Cyprus High School in 1959. She married Roger L. Draper on December 14, 1957 in Magna, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away August 19, 1995. Roberta worked in the Credit industry, specifically with customer service. Roberta was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and passed away as a current missionary from 2013-2021. She worked with Genealogy and loved serving those who had passed on.
Roberta had many interests, including animals, especially horses and rabbits. Roberta has been described as a “rock hound” and loved to go camping, visit the lake, and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed theatre, the piano, as well as her mission work.
Roberta has been described as a kind and loving individual who consistently wore a smile on her face. She was always willing to help those around her and saw the good in everyone. Her family attributes many of their good characteristics to her.
Roberta is survived by her children: Debra Draper Andersen and Cris R. Draper, both of Salina; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Roberta is preceded in death by her loving husband Roger L. Draper; parents: Lavelle and Helen Moffett Singleton; and sister: Patricia Ann Singleton Davies.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City at 11:00 A.M. under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
