North Sevier baseball hosted their Frozen Rope tournament this past weekend with multiple teams across the area participating and the Wolves winning two and losing two.
The Wolves lost 9-6 against Duchesne on Friday, March 19 with Deagan Brazell and Ryker Frischknecht both hitting a triple and Kannin Bosewell hitting a single. Kyson Bosshardt and Tayler Rasmussen got a base on ball. Breken Mason and Deagan Brazeell each earned 2 RBIs and Frischknecht 1. Boswell stole a base, as did Brazell and Beckstead, and Mason 2.
That afternoon the Wolves beat Ogden 12-4 earning a run in the first and third innings, then six in the fourth and four in the seventh. Hunter Hansen and Kyson Bosshardt each earned an RBI, Brody Butler 3 and Breken Mason 5. Brody Butler and Breken Mason each hit home runs and Mason also tripled.
The Wolves took a 7-5 win over Delta Saturday morning with two runs scored in the first and second innings and three in the fourth. Delta scored in the first then not again until 4 runs came in the fifth inning. RBIs for the Wolves were from Brody Butler and Deagan Brazell. Pitcher Breken Mason was credited with the victory for North Sevier.
North Sevier finished their tournament on a loss to the Milford Tigers 8-10. The Wolves pulled in six runs in the second inning, one in the third and another in the seventh, tying the game up at 8; the Tigers earned two more runs in the eighth inning for their win. RBIs for the Wolves include 2 from Butler, as well as one from each Boswell, Mason, Brazell, Rasmussen, and Okerlund. Kagan Beckstead, Hunter Hansen, and Deagan Brazell pitched for the team.
This week the team is scheduled to host Millard on Tuesday, March 23, North Summit on Thursday, March 25, and will travel to Millard on Friday, March 26.
