LaVell Fearon Despain

LaVell Fearon Despain, age 93 of Axtell, the eldest of eight children of Fearon and Isabell Despain, passed away on March 1, 2025 in Centerfield, Utah.
Preceded in death by twin brothers: Marius Despain (Kaye) and Merrill Despain.  He is survived by Arlo Despain (Hildegard), Sandy; Evelyn Murray (Jim), St George; Marlene Despain, Fillmore; Carolyn Elison (Tom), Payson; and Clark Despain, Buckeye, AZ. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
LaVell graduated from Gunnison Valley High School. He served five months with the US Army before being honorably discharged. LaVell lived his entire life in Axtell, where he farmed and worked hard his whole life. He also worked at the Salina Turkey plant during Turkey harvest season.
LaVell and his family are grateful for the care he received at the Centerfield Care Center.  Having no family nearby, LaVell’s family is very grateful to Randy Young and his family for taking care of him for many years. Randy has been a devout friend to LaVell, which is very much appreciated.
