Louis Perry Gardner, 74 of Richfield, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
He was born January 9, 1949 in Richfield to loving parents, Louis Hart and Jane Louise Thomson Gardner.  He married Micki Dee Jones, they later divorced.
Perry was a natural leader and served in many school leadership positions including RHS Studentbody president.  He served a mission in New Zealand and came home to attend Brigham Young University where he majored in Business Management and Accounting, which helped him as he returned to Richfield to work in the family business, the LW Gardner Company.  He later started H and P Livestock with his father, Hart and continued to market the Charolais breed.
He enjoyed going to the auctions as a cattle broker and always talked about the wonderful friends he made over the years.
Along with his cattle operation, he enjoyed being involved in real estate as a broker for Coldwell Banker.  He was a successful agent and earned many awards over the years.  He loved living in Richfield and supporting his community. He served on the city council for six years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he fulfilled many callings through out his life.  He especially enjoyed serving on the high council. He had a strong testimony of our Savior.
Perry is survived by his children: Pollyanna (Dirk) Jensen, Staci (Corey) Morrison, Dion (Ariane) Gardner, Summer (Brad) Shaw; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Gary) Kyhl.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Keri Anne Gardner; sisters: Suzanne (Dallis) Peterson, Julianne Gardner, and Melanie Gardner.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the Richfield 2nd and 10th Ward Chapel, 700 West 200 South, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
