Our beloved wife, mom, and grandma Fran Peterson Mickelson, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on November 21, 2021 at the age of 65. Fran was born to Pericson and Tola Peterson on September 20, 1955 in Salina, Utah. She married the love of her life Mitchel Mickelson on August 10, 1974 in Redmond, UT.
Together, they raised their six children, Brady (Suzette) Mickelson, Centerfield; Mindi (Earl) Taylor, Salina; Lesty (Jeff) Munk, Salina; Ashlee (Kris) Larsen, Salina; Tyler (Brooke) Mickelson, Discovery Bay, California; and Jorgen (Anastasia) Mickelson, Salina.
Fran enjoyed spending time with her family especially around the holidays. She loved her kids but her grandkids held a special part of her heart.
Some of Fran’s favorite things include visiting with friends, shopping, buying and decorating her house with crafts, cooking, scrapbooking, and being the “neighborhood mom”.
Fran loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Fran gave of her time and talents serving in many different callings. She especially loved serving with the Young Women and Relief Society.
She’s survived by her husband who she loved so dearly; six children, fifteen grandchildren, and her sister Kola Peterson.
She is preceded in death by her Parents Pericson and Tola Peterson; Parents in law Derrald and Berverly Mickelson; and her brothers; Barry and Kim Peterson.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at noon in the Salina Stake Center with a viewing prior to services from 9:30am to 11:30am.
