Brent Glen Bastian, 89, passed away November 30, 2022 in Richfield.  He was born October 26, 1933 in Vermillion to Glen and Berniece Cushing Bastian.  He married Mary Ann Sandin on April 26, 1957 in the St. George Temple. She preceded him in death on February 6, 2013.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dad served as a bishop, a branch president and in two bishoprics.  Dad and Mom completed a two-year temple mission in Manti as ordinance workers. They also served a two-year service mission for the LDS Employment Agency.
Dad is a veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of the Red View Riders Riding Club and a member of the Sevier County Mounted Posse.  A member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers and an active member of the Cove View Men’s Golf Association.  His biggest accomplishment was his family and he loved going and watching his kids and grandchildren participate in all their activities.
He is survived by his children: Stacy (Rick) Porter, Richfield; Mitch (Dona) Bastian, Annabella; Kris (Parm) Patrick, Richfield; 19 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Yvonne Bastian.
He is also preceded in death by his parents; grandsons: Travis Bastian and Jesse Lund; great-grandson, Riley Rees; and his siblings: Garn (Shirley) Bastian, Max Bastian, Ilene (LaMar) McBride, Charlene (Joe) Hunt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield or Monday at the ward chapel from 9:00 -10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors by the V.F.W.
